YSR, RIP

RIP, originally uploaded by Lazybug.

Though there is not much I liked about his policies and governance, I think his death is very untimely. At a time when the country itself is struggling to find headstrong leaders, his loss means a lot to the state. I hope sanity prevails.

I never liked/admired YSR as a politician, but I feel he was the only leader who could manage the congress party in the state. May his soul rest in peace.

This is bull. I am not sure why a politician (an Indian politician) none the less has to be glorified in such a way. I just read Swaminathan’s comments about YSR which was published in TOI about 5 years ago.

There is no way any politician in India has come up being a decent, public loving guy. Which means that he probably never cared about anyone else while climbing to the top. So, why the RIPs and the sadness?
