Happened to watch it thanks to the efforts of my brother, Niranjan.

If you’ve seen the original Tamil/Telugu version, then you’ll find most of the movie passable. But what you’ll not find passable – and will believe was lacking in the original version – is the climax. I’d give it two stars just for that. The music, though, is a let down. Prasoon Joshi could do better than that. Lattu Lattu? Yikes! Jiah Khan and her accent, even though one sees very little of the two, is another sour point. Any other actor who can speak decent Hindi could have done.

And if you’ve not seen it before, then go ahead and watch it for everything it has to offer, including Asin. One more star just for her.

Overall 4/5. Not a bad way to start the new year.

Who is doing Nayantara’s role? Is she as hot? 🙂

I thought Jiah Khan was made for this role. She passed off well as a dumb chick – you know one of those irritating ones who think they’re right but most of the times they aren’t? Didn’t mind the accent…

4/5 myself. Agreed – music was a let down.

Good start of the year Akhil. Hope the number increases in 2009, atleast more than 4. Happy New Year!

As said in my blog, the climax was made really interesting and the film was closer to reality.

Asin could have done better. Her experience as a Tamil actress did not quite help her overacting in the scenes with Amir Khan. Surprisingly she did well in the death scene.
    Maybe too awed…
The movie is definitely a must watch, paisa vasool.

No one could have beaten Nayanathara in the role…..of course anyone else would have been more believable as a college-gal 😛

Oye Lazy, no mention of AK and his ‘Eye-cting’?

I didnt really enjoy the movie. Asin is a misfit in Hindi cinema. She has that typical south Indian tendency of over acting and being over emotional. The first 30 minutes she bobbed her head so much, I got a headache

I liked the movie, though i was a reluctant goer to this particular one. I went to give my husband company. But i am glad i did.
And Ignorance is bliss for me, I have not watched the original Memento, nor the south indian versions.
