Yes! They are coming!

Finally, my dear fellow Indians, lady luck has showered upon us all her blessings. The august collection of the world’s most ‘gentle’-menly cricketers has decided that they will come to India and bless us by playing against us two test matches. This, you may observe, is in spite of the fact that they had to run for their lives following the attacks in Mumbai, against their wishes, leaving the seven-match ODI series midway. But these brave men cannot be scared away so easily. Yes, even the prospects of a 7-0 brownwash wouldn’t be enough. Such small things do not scare them any more. You may remember that last year they lost to the Australians 5-0 while trying to defend their Ashes glory of 2005.

So, my dear friends, join me in welcoming these men of valour and honour as they set foot on our land full of aficionados of the game these men invented but we mastered.

    *”has” decided*

    *”leaving”, against their wishes, “leaving”*

and is it right to say “midway” when 5 out of the 7 matches were completed?

Post updated. Ycee: The usage of Has is not incorrect in that sentence, same about midway. :p

‘Collection’ is plural, no? Hence the ‘have’ 😎

and how come 5/7 is ‘midway’??

Collection is singular, collections is plural.

Like we care a shit if they come or don’t. Hope they loose 2-0 and go back in shame!

Then why did u use ‘they’? use ‘it’ 😈

Anyways, I think the series will see a stalemate. The match at Chennai will be washed out due to inclement weather and the second test (wherever its held) will peter out to a draw!

We should not welcome them, they left us as if they were in the middle of terrorist attack. Now coming back for money and giving half of there match fee for the victims, we dont want charity from them.
