New Page

I had this in mind for a long time, but got time only today. As a retrospective look at the year gone by, I have placed my favourite posts in one page: My Picks from ’07. It contains the great posts by me that have given you some food for thought. This should also give new visitors something to read apart from the first page.

Forgive the length of the page and the odd large font, apart from which, the page looks great. No kidding.

Thank you, ycee! But how do I do that? And how will making it the default page help?

Most of your posts are interesting and importantly satirical and some of them innovative.

    Wish you more visitors.

@Lazy: U can go to Dashboard>Options>Reading and set that page as the opening page!

Normally ppl. won’t see the sub-pages and hence they might not be visited…making them the default will get it more eyeballs. But that won’t work well if bulk of ur readers come from “Search” as compared to “URL”

Hmmmm. Wouldn’t that affect the hit rates for the new posts?

That depends. If ur visitors come from search or by the BlogSurfer in WP or plain URL-keying!

For the last-mentioned category of readers, the ’07 Picks’ page would be the default page and they would have to click on ‘Front Page’ to go to the Posts.

Hmmm. I’d like to retain the Front Page as the default page in that case. Have to find some other ways to promote ’07 picks’.
