That’s what the Deccan Chargers team needs to be renamed to. Each member of the team is essentially playing his own version of the game. This is so reminiscent of a team that has many superstars but no team players. There have been some good performances, yeah, but these performances have been overshadowed by the shameful failure of the other members. When Symonds scores, the bowlers screw up. When Shrma rescues, the other batsmen screw up, leaving the bowlers with little to defend. bah!
Hey! Which way do we charge?
Gilchrist and Sharma have been the only consolation at the top of the order. Unfortunately Gilly has not been able to do for Hyderabad what Shane Warne and Hayden did for their teams. As it happens, the Chargers are only one better than the worst team in the IPL, the royally screwed up Royal Challengers, while the Rajasthan Royals are right up there with the Chennai Super Kings.
