Summer is slowly creeping in on Hyderabad. And along with it are the drizzles that have been a regular feature of Hyderabadi summers of the last couple of years. This is quite contrary to what a typical Hyderabadi summer used to be like during the good old days. Scorching would not even begin to describe it. If you happened to be so unlucky as to be plying on one of the roads in the afternoon, you’d have noticed that the roads actually began to have tread marks of tyres. The city, quite literally, would feel like an Oven.
But things have changed. Since the last couple of years, a stretch of hot days has been typically followed by pleasant showers, taking the Hyderabadis by surprise. Needless to say, I totally love the showers.
Today evening was one such occasion. It drizzled, only a bit. But it made me forget the hot days that had just gone by. A few clouds were hovering around for the last few days providing much relief from the afternoon sun, but the raindrops had stayed away. I topped it up with a Chicken Egg Roll (Bliss!) at the near by Roll Call outlet where I had gone with colleagues.
Hope more drizzles are in store this summer.
Heck. If this is what Global Warming is all about, I love it!

P.S. If I had to give an analogy I would say, it felt like eating a off-season sumptuous Haleem!
