Getting married was so much locha, I did not know. But as they say, in India, any thing is possible:
“Even though Sanjay and Manyata have filed a joint declaration with south Goa’s registration authorities seeking withdrawal of their marriage declaration, they will be husband and wife if their marriage as per the Hindu Marriage Act is valid,” Deskhmukh said.
But if Manyata has not converted before the marriage rites, then either party can challenge the marriage at the time of annulment, as it is an invalid marriage.
So much for being a secular country.
It seems, to register your marriage in Goa, you have to have lived there for at least 60 days. Another one of those strange rules of the bureaucracy that India is.
Poor Sanju baba. Trouble, in some form or the other, just doesn’t want to let go of him.
